Works with any Unicode text. Binary data is not supported in this simple UI.

How it works

What this is: Base64 is a way of writing arbitrary bytes using only 64 printable characters (A–Z, a–z, 0–9, + and /). It's used everywhere: data URIs, JWTs, email attachments, Basic auth.
How it works: Typing in either box encodes or decodes on the fly using the browser's built-in TextEncoder + btoa / TextDecoder + atob. UTF-8 is handled correctly, so emoji and non-Latin text round-trip cleanly.
