a0a · brand guide · v1.0
Looks like a terminal, because it is one.
a0a is a single product idea expressed as a brand: an offline developer toolkit that refuses to phone home. The identity is a phosphor-on-black CRT terminal. Green text. Scanlines. A cursor that blinks every 1.1 seconds. If it looks like something you could telnet into, we did our job.

# 04 · voice
Plain, precise, terminal.
We read like a man page. Short sentences, imperative verbs, and no filler. 'Converts x to y' beats 'a revolutionary platform for transforming x into y'.
Offline is the entire pitch.
Every surface reminds the reader: no network, no telemetry, no account. Don't soften it. That's the whole product.
One joke per page, maximum.
We're allowed to be dry and occasionally sardonic. We are not allowed to be whimsical.
Never call ourselves a 'platform'.
We are a toolkit. Tools are held in the hand.
# 05 · do & don't
- DO Pair phosphor (#39ff8f) with field (#050d09). That's the default stack.
- DO Animate the blink bar at 1.1s opacity 1 → 0 → 1. It's the heartbeat.
- DO Use scanline pattern on every CRT-framed surface. Never a flat gradient.
- DO Preserve the three traffic-light dots on the wordmark frame. They are part of the mark.
- DON'T Don't colour the monogram in anything other than phosphor, lime-tip, or currentColor.
- DON'T Don't flatten or remove the CRT frame on the primary logotype.
- DON'T Don't swap monospace for a proportional or serif typeface anywhere.
- DON'T Don't add drop shadows other than the prescribed phosphor glow.
